Modern tools to support youth employment

The actual socio-economic problem of almost every state is unemployment, in the presence of hidden unemployment, it is difficult to obtain reliable results of the actual state of the economy and society, therefore, this reduces the effectiveness of implemented state support programs and projects. The complexity and versatility of this phenomenon requires a systematic understanding and modernization of the existing system of support for unemployed citizens. One of the most vulnerable categories in this matter is young people, primarily due to lack of professional experience. The purpose of the study: to determine the role of the state and its impact on the promotion of youth employment. Youth as a special socio-demographic group is distinguished on the basis of age characteristics and is characterized by specific values and interests. The article discusses the current segments of the youth labor market, priority areas of youth employment support. Measures to promote youth employment and modern tools initiated by the state in this direction, such as a social contract, youth startups, youth forums and support for youth initiatives, have also been identified. From the perspective of promoting employment, investments in young people should be considered as a contribution to the future of the country’s economy. The results of this study can be used in the development of long-term and operational directions for promoting youth employment.
