Modern materials for strengthening the foundations of facilities and coatings

The article shows the relevance of the use of geosynthetic materials (GM) in strengthening the bases of various structures and coatings on weak soils. The functions of GM are generalized, such as filtration, separation, drainage, waterproofing, reinforcing, etc. The possibilities of using GM in drainage construction, in the construction of the oil and gas chemical industry, in landfills, in road bases and coatings are presented. The efficiency of applying GM for strengthening the bases by eliminating soil substitution operations is characterized.
