The paper deals with the problems of the methodological communication of the regional library science to solve the topical problems of the strategic analysis of the librarianship. The author proves the productivity of the marketing approach. The article reveals the content of the concept of information culture of the region. It determines the relevance of the theoretical tools’ development for strategic analysis of the library activity, a territorial marketing, the concept of the learning region.
