Modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of pigs in alimentary anemia

Anemia plays an important role in the structure of blood diseases of young farm animals, in particular, piglets. Although it has recently become one of the most common hematological abnormalities, the number of diagnostic errors is great. Lack of data on the analysis of the etiological factors of the occurrence of alimentary anemia, differential diagnostic tests do not allow to assess the degree of activity of the processes in the animals' organism correctly and to outline the ways of the corresponding complex therapeutic measures. The purpose of the work was to study the causes of the emergence and development of iron deficiency anemia of piglets, to define differential diagnostic criteria of this pathology and to develop highly effective complex therapy of animals using the latest generation medicines and unconventional treatment - ozone therapy. 30 large white piglets 1-3 months old were taken as a material for the study. The groups of animals were formed according to the principle of analogues with 5 heads in each group. The control group contained clinically healthy pigs. The diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia was revealed in a complex way: according to the history, the clinical manifestation of the disease, the results of a morphological study of blood - a decrease in the level of hemoglobin, the number of erythrocytes, leukocytes and color index. In order to improve the effectiveness of the treatment measures for iron deficiency anemia in piglets, we proposed the use of an ozonized physiological solution in concentrations and dosages previously selected. To consider the measures taken, we took into account the dynamics of hematological and biochemical indicators of blood, the percentage of recovery and the duration of treatment. Our treatment of piglets with iron deficiency anemia proved to be effective regardless of the nature of the selected schemes. However, based on the terms of normalization of the blood parameters, the most effective, in our opinion, can be considered a treatment regimen with the use of Biophéron, Thiophane and ozonized physiological solution, which allows to restore the morphological composition of animals' blood in the shortest possible time.
