Resume: In the modern sense, epilepsy is a chronic brain disease of various etiology, characterized by a constant predisposition to the generation of seizures and their neurobiological, cognitive, psychological and social consequences. Women and epilepsy are a special aspect of the problem, since the body is extremely complex biologically, and epileptic seizures and prolonged use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) can lead to reproductive disorders in women.
