These data showed that the main clinical manifestations of otomycosis are pain and colored discharge from the ear. Upon examination, a pathological discharge is detected in the form of caseous necrotic masses, colored depending on the pathogen fungus. In our study, in all 65 cases, discharge from the ear is noted. Some patients complained of severe ear pain resulting from the penetration of infection into the deep layers of the skin. Ear pain is also considered one of the frequent symptoms accompanying otomycosis, however, it was noted in total only in 84 out of 139 infected (, 4 ± 4.2%). Moreover, only in 27.0 ± 2.5% of cases, infected people felt it constantly, which led to constant discomfort, in 40.8 ± 4.0% (χ2 = 7.53; p 0.05) it was quite rare and poorly expressed. The pain in the ear was especially noticeable when swallowing and shaving. Headache on the side of the diseased ear is also a very characteristic symptom of otomycosis, it occurs in 69.8 ± 3.9% of cases.
