Modern approaches for the category of the labor potential of the region

The article analyzes various approaches and views on the role and place of man and labor resources in the system of socio-economic reproduction. The concepts related to human participation in labor activity, as well as the special role of labor potential as a fundamental factor of production and development of the regional economy are studied. Approaches to the concept and essence of labor resources and the role of human capital in the regional economy, as well as methods of analysis and statistical accounting of labor resources are considered. The indicators and indicators of the reproduction of labor resources in the conditions of the regional economy are analyzed. There are separate categories of the population that are not an integral part of the workforce, but can be included in their composition if certain conditions are met, including the creation of specialized jobs or the formation of motivation to work. The article proposes approaches to determining the labor potential of the region and the specifics of its reproduction in modern socio-economic conditions, which are determined by the ongoing trends of regionalization and fragmentation of the economic space.
