Modern approaches to the classification of innovations

In this article, the concepts of "innovation", "innovative infrastructure", "innovative activity" are disclosed. The paper analyzes modern approaches to the classification of innovations, the author’s classification of innovations is proposed. Innovation is the result of activities aimed at improving goods, works, services, in order to make a profit. The paper analyzes various approaches of Russian and foreign authors. Scientists propose multi-criteria classifications of innovations that differ in the principles of grouping and methods of organization. As a result, it is concluded that today there is no single approach to the classification of innovations, each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
