Modern cultural tourism in South Korea

The article deals with the specific character of cultural tourism in South Korea by case study of such practices, as living in a Buddhist monastery and Taekwondo pilgrimage path. The author describes in detail the elements of the program of staying in a Buddhist temple (spiritual meditation, rest time with the monks, tea ritual, meal, service, 108 prostrations, lotus position), and emphasizes a high spiritual potential of the pilgrimage on the Taekwondo path.
