This is an analysis of the principal trends in economic growth of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Most of the focus is on industry characteristics of the investment process in the Republic. The focus of this paper is on predominantly industry-based approach of the existing economic structure of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The primary lines of the economic development indicated as prospects in the strategic planning papers allow to assume that these principles will be kept further, at least for the period of effect of the Strategy of social and economic development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) until 2032. This paper gives evidence that measures to activate the growth of treatment facilities on the territory of the Republic are regularly included into the strategic plans but are not sufficiently supported by the investment resources of both private corporations and the state. In-house investment capacities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are only and particularly used to solve the social and infrastructural tasks. It has been noted that finalizing such a large-scale project as construction of ‘Power of Siberia’ gas pipeline on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2019, as well as reducing oil extraction on some of the fields due to depletion of reserves even in case of activation of new productive capacities, are bearing risks of slowing down of the investment activities and growth of the gross regional product.
