Modern methods of development of single-industry towns in the Russian Federation

The article examines the development of single-industry towns in the Russian Federation in modern socio-economic conditions. The problems of single-industry towns' dependence on city-forming enterprises and the associated risks affecting the economic and social status of these settlements are studied. An analysis of state support programs for single-industry towns aimed at diversifying their economy, improving infrastructure and attracting investment is conducted. Both financial and non-financial instruments that contribute to the sustainable development of single-industry towns are considered, including tax incentives and educational projects. The results of the study are proposals for further diversification of the economy of single-industry towns, improving their socio-economic status and developing human resources to ensure sustainable development.
