The article gives definitions of the concepts of socialization, subculture, youth subculture. The characteristic features of subcultures, their typology, features of modern subcultures are considered. The influence of modern subcultures on youth and their role is being studied. The results of an empirical study are described, the purpose of which is to determine the reasons for the involvement of the youth of the Perm Territory in modern subcultures. The process of integration of the youth of the Perm region into society through subcultures is considered.
