The article deals with contemporary technologies of personnel selection and development of young specialists in connection with the implementation of the state youth policy. Traditional and new technologies of personnel selection are compared. New technologies of personnel selection, for example, the model of event-recruiting, the model of the youth business accelerator, are better fit to social and psychological features of the young generations. These new models of youth work have «sifting» function of course, but also these models act as a way of young specialists' development. The state as well as the business are interested in successful interaction in these new formats of youth work.
