Contemporary trends in state financial support for agriculture in Russia

This article examines current trends in state support for agriculture in Russia, aimed at import substitution, integrated development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas, and improving food security in the country and regions. The purpose of the article is to comprehensively study and evaluate the instruments of state financial support for agriculture in Russia. The article analyzes the volume of financial support under state agricultural development programs and its priority areas. It also provides an overview of state support instruments for agriculture, including subsidies, preferential loans, and investments, the dynamics of which determine positive vectors for the sector’s development. It also identifies trends toward deteriorating state support for the sector, as evidenced by a decline in the volume of state funding per ruble of agricultural output. It is concluded that modern state support for agriculture should become a sustainable trend in agricultural development.
