Modern trends in state support for insurance of production risks of agricultural producers in Russia

In this article the main trends of development and improvement of the system of state support for insurance of agricultural producers' industrial risks in Russia were considered. The authors studied the regulatory framework that establishes the conditions for granting state support in the form of subsidies in the field of agricultural insurance. The key problems of the agricultural insurance system were identified, including a reduction in the amount of state funding, an inadequate methodology for distributing subsidies, and the spread of pseudo-insurance. Appeal to modern legislative practice has shown that at present in Russia decisive measures are being taken by the state to protect the interests of not only agro-insurers, but also farmers, measures are being taken to eliminate from the insurance market unscrupulous insurance companies.
