The article analyzes current trends in the development of automotive diesel engines. The growing popularity of diesel engines is associated with their greater efficiency and stability under various operating conditions, especially at low temperatures and variable loads, in comparison with gasoline analogues. The article discusses the key role of electronic control of fuel supply systems, which provides an increase in injection pressure and, as a consequence, improves efficiency and environmental performance. We have emphasized the importance of accurate diagnostics of the fuel supply system condition, as well as the prospects for import substitution through the improvement and implementing modern technologies in this field. The article focuses on increasing the efficiency and environmental safety of automotive diesel engines by applying innovative solutions in fuel supply.
