The current trends in the development of competition theory

The article is an analysis of the concept of competition theory in the second half of the 20th century within the evolution of philosophies and the contradictory processes of the global development. The author emphasises the most effective approaches to competition including market, resources and institutional approaches and finds out the conceptions which will allow increasing the competitiveness of businesses on the domestic and external markets.
