Contemporary trends in the Russian labor market: the problem of staffing

The article examines the features of the modern labor market in Russia, characterized by qualitative changes, transformation of employment forms. The influence of technical progress, instability of the global political and economic situation, shortage of qualified personnel, growing differences in regional labor markets shape the development of the Russian labor market at the present stage. The author analyzes the causes of the personnel shortage, its negative consequences, such as non-fulfillment of planned production plans, an increase in the workload of employees, an increase in “burnout” and staff turnover, an increase in the costs of companies for recruitment and training. The article outlines a number of main directions for improvement of the current situation, including: analysis of the needs of various branches of Russian industry for specialists, activation of employment centers; implementation of state employment assistance programs; improvement and development of new professional standards, taking into account changes in the labor sphere in the context of the development of digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence; implementation of measures aimed at increasing the prestige of working professions; consideration of the interests of creative workers in the selection of personnel by companies, implementation of the principles of the “human-centered approach”; development and implementation of regional programs aimed at increasing labor mobility in order to provide personnel from different regions of the country.
