Modern trends in the birth rate in Jewish autonomous region

The article presents the analysis of the crude birth rate in Jewish Autonomous Region for the period of 1990-2015. It is shown that, despite a definite increase in the birth rate, the newborns absolute number had not reached the level of 2008. The highest fertility rates are characteristic of the cohort of 20-24 years, and it is observed a significant differentiation between rural and urban areas. The length of generations increase, resulted in a birth rate shift in favor of a later age.
