The modern trends in the income dynamics of the northern region population in difficult economic conditions

Topicality of the research is determined by the need to reinforce the social policy at all government levels in the conditions of significant deterioration of living standard in Russia at the present stage of macroeconomic instability. The paper analyses the modern trends of the population income dynamics in the Tyumen region. The author assesses the rating of the region in the structure of the federal districts according to the key indicators of the living standards. The transformation of Tyumen population distribution by the average per capita income is described. Scientific novelty of the research consists in the development of the algorithm identifying the regional features of population income transformation, reflecting the dynamics of material well-being in the region in the context of economic crisis in order to develop and implement effective programs supporting living standards in the Urals Federal District.
