Modern threats and risks of the digital society: socio-economic aspects

The article actualizes the need to study the modern problems of digital society development in the transforming conditions of socio-economic reality. The authors state that the consistent transition to digital civilization and accelerated “digitalization” of society is currently being implemented, which radically changes the very paradigm of the world economy development, while promoting the emergence of new forms of communicative structures and socio-economic interactions. According to the results of the study, the actual problems of digital technology implementation in economic activity are highlighted. Based on the content analysis, the current challenges, limitations and risks of digital society development are identified. It is summarized that for the successful digitalization of certain federal subjects of our country it is necessary to develop the innovative culture of the population and support small entrepreneurship, farming, stimulating the development of promising startups and the introduction of digital innovations in the economic activities of domestic organizations and enterprises.
