The main approaches to the technological evaluation of ore deposits on the base of geometallurgical mapping and modelling are considered. The relevance for developing geometallurgical programs at the different stages of mining projects is confirmed. The main small-scale tests to determine key characteristics of ores, directly affect the effectiveness of each stage of processing, for definition their variability in the space of deposit are shown
