The article provides an overview of the data reflecting the relevance and modern views on the issue of treatment of patients with injuries of the forearm bones, including statistical and epidemiological data on this disease. The causes and mechanisms of forearm fractures, as well as issues of their diagnosis. Sanctified modern methods of surgical treatment, showing the advantages of each method in the treatment of fractures of the forearm bones. Particular interest is the definition of a differentiated approach to the treatment of this disease on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the development of the mechanism of injury, the modern approach to the diagnosis, as well as taking into account the reasons that lead to slower bone consolidation, «functional demand» patients and the type of fracture.
