Creation of a Database of the Clergy of the Russian Empire Based on Published Materials

For several years, a research group led by the author of the article has been collecting and systematizing biographical information of representatives of the clergy within the Russian Empire. The chronological framework of the work covers the period from the beginning of the 19th century until 1917. This work uses innovative methods of computer modeling and metadata processing, which could not have been implemented a few years ago. This work can be called interdisciplinary, which means that its results will be interesting not only in a narrow circle of specialists dealing with the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, but also in the academic university environment. The result of the work will be an electronic database, accessible to any user from anywhere in the world and allowing in real time and in an understandable visual form to receive samples for any region and locality, date, social or educational qualification, family composition, awards, etc.
