The establishment of the indigenous health system in khabarovsk territory in the late 1940s and early 1950s

The article focuses on the government measures to establish and develop the indigenous health system in Khabarovsk territory in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The work of medical expeditions of the late 1940s made it possible to analyze the aboriginal population of the territory, to generalize the indicators of the main epidemiological diseases and the nature of the most common diseases among the small-numbered indigenous peoples. This information was crucial in further policy transformation in this area. The author concludes that the subsequent development of a network of medical institutions in the indigenous regions of Khabarovsk territory carried out with the support of local enterprises significantly reduced the morbidity rate among the indigenous peoples of the region by the early 1960s.
