Creation of free trade zones between Russia and West African countries as a factor in the development of trade and economic activities

One of the most important factors in the development and sustainability of the economy of any country is the dynamics of its trade and economic relations with other countries. This article examines the economic potential of West African countries as opportunities for Russian companies in particular. So, we analyzed the economy, regional integration associations and free trade zones of the West African countries, and the existing trade and economic relations between Russia and the above-mentioned countries. As a result of our research, we came to the conclusion that for the development of the economy of Russia and Africa by strengthening cooperation and/or trade relations between them, the creation of a free trade zone Russia - West Africa is advisable.
