From July to October 2018, an archaeological team of Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences conducted rescue archaeological works on Galkina-1 in the Yenisei district of Krasnoyarsk Region. Excavations of the burial ground and the settlement complex produced abundant and chronologically diverse archaeological materials. The new data provide an insight into the features of economic activities at the settlement, the features of the funeral rites of ancient people; a representative collection of artifacts from the Neolithic, Bronze and Middle Ages was assembled. The most noteworthy finds are unique pieces of Bronze Age art and a collection of medieval weapons. The cultural and chronological affiliations of the archaeological material have been determined. Three different cultural and chronological periods of the Galkina-1 site were identified, corresponding to the Neolithic, Bronze, Early Iron and Middle Ages.
