The aim of place branding is the creation, development and dissemination of a positive image of the territory, ensuring the attractiveness of the territory for the man. To strengthen the image of Russia in the political arena is necessary to work with images of the regions, representing Russia. Preparation and organization of special events should be conducted in conditions when the project is a consequence of the processes occurring in the environment. The specifics of project management of special events is due to the specific objectives of the organization and conduct of these events, suggesting a process-oriented approach to the management of the planning, conduct and implementation of activities in the process of promoting the territory.
