Specification of the American literature of the XX century

The given article deals with the peculiarities of American literature of XXth century. A wide range of various new literary movements are studied: the literature of “lost generation” critical realism and etc. Typological peculiarities of the given movements are considered according to the examples from the literary works of prominent American writers.
