The article deals with the rebirth of the orthodox shrine in the Baikal region - the Baturino Sretensky convent of the Ulan-Ude and Buryat diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The analysis is focused on the various economic activity of Sretensky convent in the late XX th - early XXI st century.
