Specificity of the participle functioning in poetic text

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the specificity of the participle functioning in the poetic text. In the texts under inquiry the passive participle derived directly from the noun, which is not typical of the Russian language system, is analysed. It is proved that such derivation is determined by the poetic context, rhythmic organization of the text, and the poet’s wish to express the maximum in a minimal language segment. It is proved that the same type of the word-building pattern becomes a semantic center of the poem. It is proved that due to the grammatical and semantic opposition of the active and passive participles the poetic text has complex implications.
