The specific nature of the cluster approach to studying the cultural and educational space of the region

The study examines the possible use of the cluster approach in order to develop the regional cultural and educational space. Cultural and educational space of the region has not been treated in much detail; cluster policy and cluster approach allow one to identify the strategic focuses of modernization in relation to the cultural and educational environment. The cluster is defined as a set of actors of different interrelated industries combined into a single organizational structure characterized by interdependent elements that work together for a specific purpose. The research notes the important role of a university as an integrating structure in the regional cluster. The author concludes that the regional cluster policy should include a system of interrelated actions of local authorities, creative, scientific, educational, sports institutions, cultural and leisure facilities, public and religious organizations. Besides, its purpose should imply the development of mechanisms to promote clusters.
