Methodology specificity of teaching calligraphy based on Russian gloria handwritten art font

The essence of calligraphy is revealed as a branch of fine art. The role in the development of personality is noted. The modern meaning of calligraphy is shown. The author uses the example and experience of developing and using the “Russian Gloria” font to present a method of teaching calligraphy at a modern pedagogical University.
