The author considers the issues of legal protection of trade secrets and their assessment. The analysis of documents confirming the status of the results of intellectual activity as a secret of production, and methodological approaches to the assessment of assets classified as production secrets has been carried out. An assessment method is proposed based on the average market data on key indicators of investment analysis published in open Internet sources.
