The specifics of the organization of leisure of the population in small towns

The article emphasizes the relevance of theoretical and empirical studies of leisure time and leisure of the population, analyzes the social and economic situation in small cities of the Russian Federation. The main tasks and principles of the process of organization of leisure of the population at the place of residence are considered, the basic organizational and pedagogical conditions that promote the development of the creative initiative of the population in the sphere of leisure activities and the formation of its social and cultural activity are revealed. The authors suggest that the specifics of the organization of leisure at home in small towns depends on such factors as ethnic composition, age structure of the population, its cultural level, which influences the choice of forms and peculiarities of leisure activities. The decisive factor in the organization of leisure are financial opportunities for citizens of our country. The article notes that the activity of local authorities, budget availability, as well as the availability of schools, sections, circles close to the place of residence, contribute to the more effective organization of children's and young people's leisure.
