Specific features of officials’ offenses in the sphere of civilian control in the Orenburg province in the first quarter of the XIX century

The analysis of the formulary lists of officials of Orenburg provincial government has revealed the most common types of offenses of civil servants of the Orenburg province in the first quarter of the XIX century. The vast majority of these cases were associated with theft and corruption. As a rule, the actual penalty for the offenses did not correspond with the articles of the law.
