Specifics of professional ethics of a health worker

This article deals with the medical ethics as a type of professional ethics. The medical ethics is considered as a regulator of such professional spheres as relationship of a health worker and a patient; doctors’ personal qualities and moral values determining their behavior; relationship with colleagues; and rationing of professional and ethical area of medicine in the form of professional and ethical code. The author defines the modern medical ethics by comparing it with the bioethical model. As the key principles of the bioethics the author considers following: humanity, professionalism, scientific character of medical interventions, self-criticism.
