This article describes a topical problem of educational television perception by students group. The author presents results of the focus group interviews with college students, on the subject of youth educational television. The following questions were discussed: development level and topicality of such television channels; the aims of the youth educational television; subject area, format and genre; examples of efficient educational programs.
