Specificity of social integration of population: results of sociological research

The aim of the research presented in this paper was to analyze the specific features of social integration of people living in low-urbanized areas. Sociological research carried out was conducted in 2015. It is held in Rakityansky district of Belgorod region. We used a questionnaire method. The study involved 240 participants. Profiles Material Processing carried out by means of computer analysis of the data, while bringing SPSS software package. The presented results of sociological analysis of the primary data suggest that the need for integration into the society is relevant for everyone. More than a third of respondents say that the villagers are less integrated into the local community than urban residents. About a quarter of all respondents wrote that the rural and urban dwellers alike are integrated into the local community. One-fifth of respondents believe that a villager more integrated into the local community. From 70.0% to 95.0% of the population are involved: in cultural events; in the collective improvement of public yards; in charity; election authorities; in the activities of nongovernmental organizations, recreational clubs; in sports activities. Opinions of the respondents suggest that the conditions of association of rural residents are the following: the relationship of different generations, joint activity, lifestyle, common interests, traditions, agrarian culture, common problems, joint leisure activities. This article discloses a complex and multifactorial process of social integration of the rural population. The study found that the social integration of the respondents attributed to the concepts of "unity", "partnership", "agreement", "solidarity", and «cohesion”.
