Peculiarities of thought verbalization: argumentative aspect (based on phraseological units)

The article dwells upon the specific character of thought verbalization within the argumentative aspect based on phraseological units. The author exposes functional levels which determine this specification, and demonstrates the transition from concrete thinking to abstract interpretation on the basis of figurative thinking. The paper substantiates that phraseological units - as a valuable layer of any language - act as frames of knowledge which state the information about communicative situations realized through communicative fragments.
