The article analyzes the specifics of China's foreign policy activities. China's modern diplomacy is characterized by a skillful combination of various traditional and new methods and mechanisms. China's new foreign policy, which began with the coming to power of Xi Jinping, was called "diplomacy of a great power with Chinese characteristics." It is inextricably linked with Chinese values, which are important in shaping the strategic course and international relations. The key objectives of China's political strategy are to ensure the leading role of the Communist Party in all aspects of the life of the country's population; the return of territories lost in earlier eras of internal turmoil and foreign aggression; the creation of a regional sphere of influence in which China will dominate; the achievement of global power and world primacy. China's new diplomacy, the diplomacy of the "war wolves", is characterized by assertiveness, which can be perceived as a reflection of China's growing confidence in its increased status and its desire to rebuild certain aspects of the international order in accordance with its interests. Psychocultural elements play a significant role in shaping China's foreign policy, in particular, a national person, whose care in some circumstances exceeds the interests of security and the economy.
