The specificity of the interaction of Chinese and western cultures in the context of sociocultural globalization

The article considers general and specific features of sociocultural globalization, analyzes the channels through which intercultural communication between China and other cultures and civilizations was performed during various historical epochs. It is argued that China has always been the subject and object of the sociocultural globalization. Special attention is paid to the cultural interaction between Chinese and Western civilizations, which has never been simple and straightforward. It is concluded that there is a unique way the Chinese culture confronts the Western culture.
