Speculative realism in a context of contemporary philosophical culture

The article is an analysis of the main conceptual solutions outlined in the philosophy of speculative realism. It is devoted to the research of the essence of speculative realism as a project, as well as the identification of its basic provisions and features. The article attempts to define the place and significance that speculative realism occupies in modern continental philosophy. Speculative realism is marked as an unfinished phenomena of contemporary culture and emerging intellectual project that opens a wide horizon for speculative thinking. The study emphasizes that this project aimed at changing the entire background, content and nature of modern philosophical discourse.
