Spiraea (Spiraea) is widespread in nature, and cultural stands as the Western and eastern hemispheres planted here in Russia 83 species, including 26 species of gibridogennogo origin. The largest collection of spireas are Botanic Gardens the following cities: Moscow (59 species), Petersburg (34 species), Rostov (37 species), Ekaterinburg (19 species), even in one of the most northern towns-Arkhangelsk-at the Botanical Garden has 21 views spireas. This is mainly of the northern range. In Russia identified 4 environmental groups spireas. This is gigromezofity (S. humilis Pojark., S. salicifolia L.), mesophyte (S. betulifolia Pall., S. aemiliana Schneid., S. media Schmidt, S. ussuriensis Pojark.), kseromezofity (S. chamaedrifolia L., S. flexuosa Fisch.) and mezokserofity (S. crenata L., S. trilobata L.). Most species are fairly large spireas square areas and do not require special protection in the nature. Comparison of the onset and end of the growing season, growth of shoots, effective temperature sums and dates of the generative phase in Moscow and Arkhangelsk in 16 species of spiraea japonica. Meadowsweet is a valuable decorative plant that is widely used for landscaping in built-up areas. Meadowsweet has many useful properties: highly decorative effect, long-flowering, easy adaptability to the new location, low growing conditions, high frost resistance. In addition, Meadowsweet, has fitoncidnoj activity. Many types of honey plants and sources-spireas medicinal raw materials, they are often used for docking of ravines.
