Way and device for the optical estimation of the relative lengthening of textile materials

A method and device for contactless measurement of textile materials rela­tive lengthening by changing the anisotropy coefficient of light scattering reflected by the material under study is presented. Testing of different knitted fabrics showed high convergence of the tensile curves obtained by the proposed method and by the direct materials measurement.
