Method of committing thefts of oil and oil products from oil product pipelines during their storage and transportation as an information basis of criminalistic characterization

The article considers the close interrelationships between the main elements of criminalistic characterization through one of them - the way of committing a crime, which is the basic one. The list of factors influencing the distribution of the main ways of theft of oil and oil products is proposed, and also analyzed the main preparatory activities carried out in order to lay the diversion from the places of illegal extraction of hydrocarbons from pipelines, justified their application depending on the specific conditions of the crime, which in turn allows the subject of investigation to understand the features of the method of committing the crime, the identity of the perpetrator, the mechanism of trace formation, to understand the specifics of the situation with the crime.
