The article discusses the question of how to correct the anemic syndrome detected in 7-day-old calves in the APC (agricultural production cooperatives). As evaluation criteria against the background of the therapy, the indicators of the dynamics of the basal metabolism were studied. Blood serum analysis was performed using a BioChem BA biochemical analyzer. Three farms used different treatment regimens, the drugs were administered according to the instructions for use: Sedimin on days 10 and 20 at the Afanasyevsky APC; Sedimin and Tetravit at the Peremilovsky APC; Sedimin, Tetravit and a freshly prepared rosehip decoction (200 ml, daily) at the Tsentralny APC. Against the background of the therapy in calves, the total protein content increased by 17.07% at the Tsentralny APC, by 14.19%at the Peremilovsky APC, by 3.75%at the Afanasyevsky APC. The increase in protein content was due to the albumin fraction, which led to a change in the protein coefficient. After treatment, the concentration of glucose in calves increased by 33.34% at the Tsentralny APC, by 29.30% at the Peremilovsky APC, by 7.63% at the Afanasyevsky APC. There was a decrease in cholesterol by 12.93%, 10.39% and 15.17%, respectively, in calves at the Tsentralny, Peremilovsky and Afanasyevsky APCs. The activity of ALT and AST in calves decreased by 21.88% and 23.42% at the Tsentralny APC; there was a tendency towards a decrease in ALT activity and a decrease in AST by 24.54% at the Peremilovsky APC; ALT activity increased by 16.25%, while AST activity decreased by 22.82% at the Afanasyevsky APC. The concentration of alkaline phosphatase in calves” decreased by 31.44% and 4.81% at the Tsentralny and Peremilovsky APCs, whereas it increased by 5.03% at the Afanasyevsky APC. Consequently, the use of complex therapy for anemic syndrome in calves at an early stage of postembryonic development is much more effective.
