In the work, the author aims to find out how Russian surnames were formed, where the author's surname came from and what it means. Russian Russian surnames need to be found and studied in the literature on the origin of surnames, to identify the features of the origin of Russian surnames, to determine the ways of the origin of Russian surnames, to find out what the author's surname means and when it appeared. As a result of the work, the author learned the rules and principles of the formation of Russian surnames determined by scientists, found out the origin of his surname.
