Statistic data show that a significant amount of vegetable production falls on household farms. It is necessary to irrigate for increasing the yield and quality of plants. Water must meet quality requirements. The water treatment should be used chemical, physical, physical-chemical, biological methods to ensure these requirements. The most promising is the physicochemical method. It includes such methods as: UV treatment; microwave, ozonation; EG-impact. Nutrient solutions are also used to increase yields. 29 articles on this topic have been analyzed. The main organizations conducting research in this direction are the FGBU FNAC VIM and the Russian Research Institute for Land Reclamation Problems. Every year a number of articles on this topic are published, which indicates the relevance of this topic.
