The ways to protect Russian national interests from the outside information threats provoked as a result of aggravation of the East-Ukrainian political conflict

In this article the author attempts to assess the current state of Russian information security in the context of information warfare broke out with the West. It has been found that the vast majority of Russians are rather skeptical of the modern Russian authorities, but at the same time they perceive critically the liberal ideas of the West and radical ideas of regime change. The author considers the main actors of the information warfare, defines the type of their participation and influence on public opinion in the war of Russian and Western media. The author believes the government needs to take measures aimed at strengthening of state control over the information space.
